As the heatwave continues, we have been spending days on the beach as we watch the progress of 8 Sandpiper. Today work continued on the second floor and framing of the walls started. Our crew has been sweating through their shirts and pants these past two days!
The biggest thing left to do is to choose the siding color, which has been a difficult task. We have chosen to use Certainteed Cedar Impressions per our builder’s recommendation for its durability at the beach. We are gathering the opinions of everyone and hope to make a decision by the end of the week.
Another lumber delivery came today and we spent more time at the beach with family. The Cape Shores beach is great for kayaking since it is on the bay side of Lewes, so the water is smooth.
