The past few days have been exciting to watch at 8 Sandpiper, the plywood on the side of the house is going up and they have started building out the back deck. Today the right side of the house was completely wrapped in plywood and Tyvek. Once the plywood and wrap is finished, the next step will be to add the roof trusses and finish up the decks.
Both of the decks will be the full width of the house which is 38′ and each deck will be 12′ deep. The top deck will have 24′ of screened-in porch in addition to an open section as well. Access to the top deck will be available through the open-concept living/dining room on the second floor. The downstairs deck will be open but covered from the deck above and be accessible from the hallway door and one of the rear bedrooms. We can’t wait to enjoy all of the deck space!
