Since we chose the exterior color of the house (Certainteed Pacific Blue) we decided to make a color rendering of the front of the house from the blueprint.  While the actual color may vary slightly, the rendering below is quite realistic of what the front of 8 Sandpiper will look like when construction is complete.

You can see from the mock-up above that the aluminum metal roof will be across the entire front porch of the house, making for a great accent color in “copper penny.”  We also will have a variety of finishes on the front of the house for visual impact including Certainteed Cedar Impressions Double 9″ Staggered Rough-Split Shakes, Certainteed CedarBoards Insulated Board and Batten 12″ Vertical Siding in white on the second floor and Certainteed Monogram 46 Double 5″ Clapboard Horizontal Siding across the first floor.  The sides and back of the house will be covered with Certainteed Cedar Impressions Double 7″ Staggered Perfection Shingles  to bring it all together.  The roof shingles will be GAF Timberline Lifetime HD  in the color Oyster Gray.

We have not decided what the color of the front door will be, but put a light blue as the placeholder for now.  We still have some time to decide on what that will be!
