The exterior finishes have finally started this week on 8 Sandpiper!  The Pacific Blue Certainteed siding arrived on Monday and the window trim and deck board have also been delivered.  Work on the interior of the house continues with almost all of the plumbing, electrical and HVAC work complete within the house.  The tub surrounds for the three bathrooms on the main floor were also delivered this week and were installed by the plumber.

We had a great time doing the walk-through with the electrician to pick out all of the spots for the electrical outlets, cable hook-ups and recessed lighting.  All of the bedrooms will also be equipped with ceiling fans, so those were also accounted for in the electrical plan.  Once the siding is complete, the deck boards will be installed and then the exterior of 8 Sandpiper will be mostly complete.

The Cedar Impressions has arrived!

Although there are many decisions still left to be made, we have been trying to concentrate on picking out the light fixtures for the exterior of the house.  These lights will be needed for the front of the house flanking the front door as well as on the decks and porches.  When the selection is complete, we will let everyone know!  So far, we have visited the Lighthouse of Lewes and they had many beautiful options.  If anyone has ideas for unique nautical exterior lights, please leave us a comment, thanks!
