The official guide for fall and winter events in Lewes, Delaware is out! The Lewes Historical Society has distributed its annual guide of events and programs for the next few months. This two-page PDF is a handy reference for what events are going on as the weather chills and sitting on the beach is no longer an option. (Unless you want to do it in a winter coat and gloves!) Below are a few highlights from the guide that are worth putting on your calendar.
Lewes Lunch & Learns
Enjoy lunch with a dialog lead by local history buffs, ranging in topic from lighthouses in the Delaware Bay to 50th Anniversary of the Cape May Lewes Ferry. These are FREE programs held at Hotel Rodney, 142 Second Street, at noon. Presentations will last 20-30 minutes, followed by a question/ answer period. Audience members have the option to bring their own bagged lunch or purchase a $12 box lunch from Rose&Crown.

Entertaining and educational programs that explore the history of Lewes and surrounding area! Each presentation begins at 7:30pm at The Lewes Presbyterian Church at 113 Kings Highway. No reservations required, FREE to all!

Christmas Tour of Lewes
The Christmas Tour of Lewes is part of Christmas Weekend in Lewes and will be held on Saturday, December 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This self-guided tour gives the Society a chance to show off its historic houses decorated for the season. In addition, several private homes are selected to tour, bringing even more Yuletide cheer to this quaint town on the bay. Also enjoy a Christmas Antiques Bazaar and Bake Sale, Holiday Greens Sale, and more! Advance tickets are $20.00 each; tickets purchased the day of the tour are $25.00.
